Quest of the Hero

Quest of the Hero is a fantasy based decision making game with fast and quick game sessions and plenty of strategy options.

Make risky or safe decisions, craft powerful items, defeat enemies, upgrade your skills and explore unique play styles to get to the end and fetch those artifacts!

The Kingdom is ravaged by the Decay, an illness that decomposes the souls of the infected, as the curse that laid dormant after the War for the Living.

The only way to cure it is by crafting a magical potion, Pure Water, and using it to purify the Cursed Artifacts which are the source of the Decay.

The Kingdom tasked three heroes to retrieve the Cursed Artifacts and purify them, putting an end to the Decay.

Quest of the Hero combines decision making with idle(ish) combat with RPG elements such as item crafting, stats and upgrades.

The game is played in individual runs, which are fast and quick, but with a lot of strategy and many decisions to make. The player can choose one of the three available heroes with unique play styles.

Each run is a unique succession of decisions, where the player is presented three options: a safe one, a medium risk medium reward one and a high risk high reward one.

During the run, the player will encounter enemies and curses, and will have to make good use of their resources to survive.

Crafting better items, upgrading stats and skills, and leveling up are all part of the game.

The game is set in a fantasy world with a colorful cartoony aesthetic.

Each run: 3-15 minutes.

Total gameplay: 5+ hours for full completion.

Released in June 2025 on Steam for Windows PC and SteamOS / Linux.
